Stoke Road Roundabout — turning right, taking the third exit

Turning right at Stoke Road Roundabout in Bletchley, taking the third exit. It is a wide roundabout, so the video covers checking your left mirror before you move across, in case a vehicle is undertaking you.

What this covers

  • Turning right and taking the third exit
  • Why this roundabout being wide changes what you check
  • Checking the left mirror before moving across
  • What to do if a vehicle is undertaking you
  • Exiting into the right lane when it is safe

The point most learners miss

The roundabout is wide, so there is room for another vehicle to come up on your left while you are still going round. Before you move across towards the exit, check your left mirror. If someone is undertaking you, hold your position and exit into the right lane once it is safe, rather than moving across into them.

Front and rear view

The video shows the forward view and the view behind at the same time, so you can see what is coming up on your left as well as the road ahead.
