Which lane? A three-question roundabout quiz
Three roundabout approaches, three lane choices. Read the paint, pick your lane, keep score. Question two catches nearly everybody.
Question 1
You are going straight ahead. Both lanes are marked for ahead. Which lane should you normally use?

Lane A — the left. B is allowed, just not ideal: it puts you in the overtaking lane on the way out, and you finish with a lane to cross. Normally, take the left.
Question 2
Again, straight ahead — but this time the left lane is marked left-turn only.

Lane B — the right. Straight ahead now means the right-hand lane. This is the one that catches nearly everybody.
Question 3
Three lanes, straight ahead. Left is left-only, right is right-only.

Lane B — the middle. It is the only one marked for ahead.
