Regent Street, Bletchley — tight left turn and a two-way bend
A narrow residential street with a very tight left turn in, a bend where positioning matters, and a no-entry that forces a sharp left at the end. Speed down early, steer smoothly, and keep to your own side.
The turn in
- The junction into Regent Street is very tight, so reduce your speed on the approach.
- If there is a vehicle waiting to come out, it is best to hold back and let them out first — there isn't room for both of you, and you risk mounting the kerb as you turn in.
- Finish the turn on your own side. If something is coming the other way it shouldn't have to slow down for you.
The bend
Positioning is the thing learners often get wrong here. Keep to your own side as much as you can — it is a two-way street and something could come round the bend towards you.
The end of the street
There is a no-entry just around the bend, so you have to turn left here — it is not a choice. It is a sharp bend as well, so the same rules apply as when you first came into the street: get your speed down early and steer smoothly through it.

Narrow streets reward patience. Hold back for oncoming vehicles, keep left, and never let the car's speed decide your steering.
